HOME TESTIMONIALS WE BELIEVE
Working at Camp Good News® is a great opportunity for you to meet new people and build new life skills, while growing in your walk with Christ!  About 100 children from all around Maine and New England attend this camp weekly.  The summer schedule runs from Sunday, when the children register, to Friday night when parents pick up their child.  Each day (click here for daily schedule) is filled with great food, fun activities, and wild adventures, with an emphasis on teaching and establishing children in the Word of God.  "Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You." (Psalm 119:11, NKJV)

Camp Good News is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship®; a para-church organization that is interdenominational and international.  CEF® has a three-fold purpose: EVANGELISM, DISCIPLESHIP, and ESTABLISHMENT of children within a local Bible-believing church. As summer camp staff, you will have the unique opportunity to help these children begin a personal relationship with Christ or help them grow in their understanding and knowledge of Christ. Your responsibility is VERY important and full of God’s blessing! You are a living, breathing EXAMPLE to every one of these children of God’s love!

The College Bound program is geared for college students who desire to be working in ministry for the summer, but also need to receive a salary. Participants are asked to serve for 7 weeks, with an additional 10 days of Christian Youth in Action® training school conducted at the beginning of the camping season.  While working on staff, your responsibilities may vary from week to week; your positions may include senior counselor, kitchen food prep, waiter/waitress, dish-pit, maintenance, lifeguard (if certified) or any other miscellaneous duty.  In this program you are required to raise money like a full-time missionary.  Approximately $2500 is needed.  The money will be used to pay your salary ($200/wk), deputation/administrative fees, and the cost of Christian Youth in Action training school.  The money is raised through personal letter writing (click here to see sample support letter), and sharing the ministry with your local church.  Funds are received at Camp Good News, from which you will be paid every two weeks.

If you are interested in applying for this program, please contact Derek Roberts. You can leave a facebook message, e-mail derekaroberts_cgn@yahoo.com or call the state office at 207-897-6182. Whether you are experienced in
CEF or not, this will be a good opportunity for you to grow in your relationship with Christ. If you allow the Lord, He will use it for YOUR good and HIS glory.
